GoCabs Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of gocabs.org (“GoCabs,” “we,” “our,” or “the Platform”). By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Nature of the Platform
GoCabs is an online transportation directory and listing platform operating in The Bahamas.
GoCabs:
- Does not operate vehicles
- Does not employ drivers
- Does not provide transportation services
- Does not process passenger ride payments
All transportation services are provided by independent drivers who list their services on the platform.
2. Independent Contractor Status
Drivers listed on GoCabs are independent operators and are not employees, agents, or representatives of GoCabs.
Each driver is solely responsible for:
- Licensing and compliance with Bahamian laws
- Vehicle maintenance and insurance
- Service quality and safety
- Taxes and regulatory obligations
3. Platform Fees (Subscription Model)
GoCabs operates on a subscription-based listing model.
Drivers pay recurring subscription fees to maintain an active listing on the platform. These fees provide:
- Listing visibility
- Profile management access
- Marketing exposure
- Access to customer inquiries
- Eligibility for verification status (where applicable)
GoCabs does not collect commissions on rides or transportation services.
GoCabs does not collect or process payments for transportation services between passengers and drivers.
All service payments are arranged directly between the passenger and the driver.
4. Subscription Billing & Refund Policy
Subscription fees:
- Are billed in advance
- Are non-refundable once the billing period begins
- Remain active until the end of the current billing cycle if canceled
Drivers are responsible for managing and canceling their subscriptions prior to renewal.
If a listing is suspended or removed due to violation of platform policies, no refund shall be issued.
5. Driver Compliance Requirements
Drivers offering both local and tourist transportation services must hold a valid Bahamian Taxi Plate in accordance with national regulations.
GoCabs may request verification of taxi plate numbers or related documentation.
GoCabs may display a “Verified Taxi Plate” badge upon review. Verification may be revoked if compliance is not maintained.
6. Passenger Responsibility
Passengers agree to:
- Confirm pricing and service details directly with the driver
- Verify driver identity and vehicle information
- Use transportation services lawfully
All agreements for transportation are made directly between the passenger and the independent driver.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoCabs shall not be liable for:
- Accidents or injuries
- Service delays
- Pricing disputes
- Property damage
- Losses incurred during transportation services
GoCabs acts solely as a directory and communication facilitator.
8. Account Suspension & Termination
GoCabs reserves the right to suspend or terminate listings that:
- Violate Bahamian transportation regulations
- Provide false or misleading information
- Receive repeated complaints
- Engage in unsafe or unlawful conduct
9. Modifications
GoCabs reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
